Why did we choose organic cotton muslin?

Our choice of material is based on sustainability, processing standards, comfort

and ease of use, and safety for babies. With our tropical weather, muslin was an easy

choice. With its fine and loose weaving which dates all the way back to ancient India, it is produced with a single weft thread alternating with a single warp thread, making

it breathable, durable and comfortable to use. Using organic cotton, we wanted to make sure that the fabric was not processed with

harmful chemicals. Cheap synthetic fabrics can cause irritation and overheating on

baby's skin. Since our GOTS-certified muslin swaddle is not highly flammable

much like polyester blends, our fabric is not treated with chemical fire retardants,

making it even safer for baby.
